John Carter

I really liked John Carter but I believe I was one in 100 people who saw the film in theaters.  I was hoping for the sequel but it looks like that won't happen with the failure at the box office.
I'm still giving the movie a RAD and you should see it.

Dark Shadows

I can finally forgive Tim Burton for that skid mark, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.  Dark Shadows didn't do all that great in theaters but it is seriously funny and a lot of fun.  If you have a sense of humor, you like Tim Burton & Johnny Depp films, you like Vampires, Witches, Ghosts and Werewolves you'll like this movie.
Dark Shadows is RAD!

Looper

I am a huge fan of Rian Johnson. Brick is one of my top 10 best films for life.  Rian reunites with JGL and makes his Sci-Fi masterpiece.  Looper is a fantastic film. The cast is perfect and the little boy, Pierce Gagnon is amazing.
This movie is RAD and you need to see it!

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

What was this piece of crap? I read the book, which was very entertaining, informative and bad ass.
I just want to ask the filmmakers, "why would you make a movie about a book knowing  the fans of the book would come to the movie and they would probably be the only ones that would come to your movie and have the only thing the book and movie have in common be the title?" "Why?"  "Seriously!"  This was the worst adaptation for the screen I have ever seen in my life. I have no idea how this script got through the executives in charge. The screen writers created new characters and story lines that aren't in the book and took everything that was great about Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Hunter and shat it down the toilet.
Thanks jerks for ruining a kick ass book by making it in to your pitiful idea of a movie!
I guess you can rent it. I think it's in RedBox but I'm not going to recommend it. It is SAD.
READ the book. It's great and it works!
Shame on you Tim Burton!

The Hunger Games

I have read all three of the books and I will see all of the movies. I think they will possibly produce four more but who knows.
I was certainly disappointed by some casting choices and it might have showcased the violence a bit more but the movie overall was RAD.
Definitely rent it. It is out on RedBox. If anything it is more time with Jennifer Lawrence, who is a talented actress.

Prometheus has done what George Lucas tried to do with Star Wars but failed miserably. The story goes back in time, before Ripley, Alien and Aliens and all those other Aliens and Alien VS Predator stuff.

The audience is taken back to the origin of how human kind was created and by who, possibly. There is the underlining AI theme that we so love in the original Alien as well as female characters who are smarter and stronger than the ensemble of male characters, mostly there to be disposed of by an alien.  I went in with low low low expectations based on Star Wars, Clash of the Titans and Tron.

To my surprise the movie was way better than any of the above. I felt the writing was extremely thoughtful and well developed. My biggest dislike is Guy Pearce in some gross, awful and terribly fake old ass man make-up.  His part is so small, important yes, but such a small amount of time on film so why not hire a real old ass man actor and save some money on that hideous make-up job? Hmm?

Anyway, aside from that, this movie is thought provoking, character driven and kicks ass. I give this movie a totally rad!
Go see it and see it in IMAX 3D.
Hopefully the projector will over heat when one minute of the film is left and not only will you finally get to see the final minute of the movie ( which is kinda the point of the whole movie) but you'll get free passes to any IMAX 3D screening in the future!
SWEET!

We the Party opens in theaters today

We the Party opens in theaters today.
This coming of age story about teenagers growing up in Los Angeles, facing tough decisions and finding ways to make money and get away from their parents, is written and directed by Mario Van Peebles.

With YG, Snoop Dogg, Mario himself and several other talented actors in the cast, I believe you'll enjoy this clever story about the" OBAMA" generation.

Oh, and I was the Line Producer and I can do the Dougie!
